Watergate Salad

This salad was on our Thanksgiving table every year of my life. My mother would make it and we’d gobble it right up. I make it for Thanksgiving every year, myself, but no one says it has to be a holiday treat for you.


  • 3 8oz tubs Cool Whip topping
  • 2 3.4oz pouches Instant Pistachio Pudding dry mix
  • 2 cans fruit cocktail, drained
  • Couple cups small marshmallows, colorful ones are best
  • Nuts optional


  1. Prepare cold fridge
  2. Mix Cool Whip and Pistachio Pudding mix
  3. Add drained fruit cocktail and marshmallows, stir gently
  4. Combine all other ingredients in separate bowl, whisk until smooth
  5. Chill one to two hours before serving straight out of bowl
