Biscuits and Gravy

If I don’t have the prepackaged gravy for Biscuits and Gravy, I use this recipe I found.


  • 2 tbs Corn Starch
  • 2 tbs fat drippings
  • 2 cups broth or water
  • 1/4 cup cold water (milk for creamier taste)
  • salt and/or pepper to taste


  1. Heat drippings and broth on medium heat
  2. Mix cornstarch and water, add to fat and broth
  3. Stirring constantly, simmer for one minute
  4. Add sausage or turkey crumbles and serve over biscuits.
