The original instructions for making the City Streets Quilt Block is here. I will post the instructions that Julie and I came up with to make it 12.5″ square here in this post.
First step is to draw out what you want. Between Julie and I, I think we got the sizing just right to match the smaller version. You can click that picture to look at it bigger if you wish. Click the BACK button when you are done to come back here.
When all was said and done, we needed the following pieces:
- Color 1: (4) 3″ x 3″ and (4) 4.5″ x 2″
- Color 2: (4) 2″ x 3″ and (4) 4.5″ x 2″
- Color 3: (4) 4.5″ x 3″
- Color 4: (1) 4.5″ x 4.5″
These instructions for cutting already include seam allowances.
As for assembly, follow the color patterns shown on the graph paper and as shown above.
I sewed it in rows – there are 5 total.
And the completed picture. Isn’t it beautiful? That’s how quick and easy this block is. Please feel free to ask questions or give a shout if you need help!
