Any Pictures Left?

Let’s look at the remainder of pictures in my pictures folder and clear them out, shall we? I’ve a few left and then I can start posting quilts and more timely events again.

A picture of the Montana state flag taken during the boys’ school productions over the holidays.

A close-up of the center of the flag. Oro y Plata is spanish for “Gold and Silver.” Wikipedia had the following to say about the state flag:

The flag of the state of Montana consists of the image of the Montana state seal centered on a blue field.

Within the seal, a plow, shovel, and pick rest in a field in front of the Great Falls of the Missouri River. The ribbon contains the state motto, “Oro y plata” (Spanish for: “Gold and silver”). The current flag was adopted in 1905, and the word “Montana” above the seal was added in 1981. In 1985, the flag was again modified to specify the font used in “Montana.”[1] Before it was adopted as a state flag, it was used by Montana troops deploying for the Spanish/American War.[2]

North American Vexillological Association (NAVA) declared the flag of Montana to be the third worst state/provincial flag, 70th in a field of 72 in a list that contained all the provinces of Canada, U.S. states and U.S. territories. Georgia’s flag was named the worst, but has since been changed, and Nebraska’s flag was named second worst. [3]

I don’t think I’d say it was the worst flag! But, who am I, right?

Seen on a street in downtown Dillon, where we live. We don’t see trash on the streets very often so this really caught my eye. And, if you wonder if it gets cold here? Well, there’s proof. It does.

One of Brendan’s school projects. He was supposed to use items around the house to disguise the turkey so it wouldn’t be eaten at Thanksgiving. He used a bunch of my quilting scraps.

The local Elks Lodge had a Santa visit and the boys went to sit on his lap and whisper their Christmas desires. If you look above that, you can see a picture from several years ago of the boys. So big, so fast.

Going to the school to meet Brendan for a Thanksgiving treats day with the kindergartners. That morning, he *had* to wear his suit because mommy was coming to school.

Playing with mom’s quilting supplies. He was pretending they were claws.

Jen running into some 2x4s hanging off the back of a truck. They were invisible. She couldn’t see them.

Brendan trying to sew a couple squares together, just like mommy.

Brendan deciding that fireballs were not something he enjoys.

Caiden getting attacked by his brother for climbing up onto his bed when they were supposed to be sleeping. There was punishment involved and Caiden still bears a few marks from this event.

Rendy’s shocks broke on the driver’s side, so we had a really-wicked-cool-muscle car for a week to play with.

This amazing car kept blinking “READY” at me, every time I stopped. I had to go for it and try to beat the best time for 0-60 is this bad-ass muscle car. (Language intended) The best time was 7.78. I got 8.80. I was sad but scared to try again for better.

Caiden was trying to hide under my bed to avoid a bath. Jen caught him and dumped him into the tub. Once he was in, he had a great time!

Remember those Legos? It’s 11 p.m. on a Friday night and the boys don’t want to stop playing. I had to convince them to go to bed by telling them they could get up early in the morning and pick up where they left off.

And that’s about it. From here out, it’s specific events where there are several pictures to show off and quilts that were made. I finally cleaned out my pictures folder.
