Yesterday, we went to West Yellowstone. We took our picnic lunch (yes, I remembered the bread) and drove around a bit. We did, as always, stop by Old Faithful. Here are some pictures of that adventure.
Baby Bison. So cute and furry. Don’t mess with him, though! Mommy will come tear you up!
From far away, the boys thought this was a dead wolf. I walked closer to get a good picture of it.
Just some deadwood. Cute, though, that they thought it was a dead wolf.
Looking for a badger.
And Old Faithful is about to blow!
Thar She Blows!
For three years in a row, the boys have seen Old Faithful. Afterwards, we always get ice cream before moving on…
The following is my pictures of the Paint Pots. I love looking at the Paint Pots – more than Old Faithful. It’s colorful and interesting. Not just a shoot up in the sky and done type thing…
More bubbling, boiling hot mud. The one above is called the “Red Sprouter.”
The one above is the Clepsydra Geyser – zoomed in, of course.
This is what he called “mustard.”
And Caiden helps drive back up the mountain to our cabin. He had a blast with it!
And, of course, so did Brendan.
And, a campfire at dark with the glowing color sticks thrown in. I love this new camera. It catches the colors!
This morning, Caiden helped do dishes before we head out. It was raining something fierce, so we went to “town” and had a coffee/drink until the weather cleared up. Now? Not sure what we’ll do. We’ll see…
