We had french toast for breakfast. I got up a little bit easier, this morning. Both mornings, I got up at 6:30 a.m., it was more a matter of if I enjoyed it or not. This morning, it got close to enjoyment. Pro’lly because I knew I had promised French Toast. My 5 year-old actually said, “Mommy, you make the best breakfastes.” I beamed!
I have learned that, starting a sink of hot soapy water before you start cooking is the best way to keep the kitchen clean. You wash the dishes as you go and no mess later. Besides, there were not a lot of dishes, so I wouldn’t have started the dishwasher and then we’d be pickled when we went to eat dinner and didn’t have enough dishes. So, washing them as the morning goes seems to be the best course of action.
Lunch was fun. We were all working and the boys were restless. I said, “Let me take them to Maverick. They are doing the outside bar-b-que today” and so I did. So, lunch was fun. 🙂 Picnic in the Rendezvous with hotdogs!
The day is wasting. Time to get off the computer. I’m not supposed to be on it until 8 p.m., anyway. However, I haven’t really been doing that, either. We’ve been busy! Tonight is spaghetti and Bruscetta (the way I was taught to make it in Italy, not the “Americanized” version!)
Thank you for listening,
